Teaching
In the last few years, I have developed a passion for teaching, especially subjects related to computational skills. My teaching philosophy is based on demystifying subjects that are often taught in deliberately convoluted ways. This lowers the barrier of entry for these tools, makes the classroom more inclusive, and makes for a more diverse and vibrant research community.
At Duke, I was the teaching assistant for the graduate statistics sequence. There, I also designed the syllabus for an Introduction to Data Science course, available here. At Davis, I offered a 3 day workshop on Doing Reproducible Research with R. I have also designed a series of short courses about data analysis and social networks analysis in R, geared towards spanish-speakers. You can find the syllabi here.
You just got a random development of the Game of Life. Did you get anything interesting?
